United States drug traffickers receive lengthy prison sentences
Several individuals in the United States have received significant prison sentences following drug trafficking investigations.
In Georgia, Ismael Guerrero-Moya was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for coordinating a methamphetamine distribution ring from a state prison cell using a contraband phone. In Atlanta, Carlos Salazar-Garcia received a 10-year sentence for using sham produce businesses to smuggle approximately 200 pounds of cocaine across the U.S.-Mexico border and laundering over one million dollars.
In Florida, Clyde Edward Johnson Jr. was sentenced to two concurrent life terms after a raid on his property uncovered a large stash of MDMA, cocaine, marijuana, and oxycodone, along with a loaded firearm. Additionally, in New York, Thedford Browning was sentenced to 39 years to life for operating as a major narcotics trafficker involving cocaine valued at $75,000.
