Drukair cancels proposed charter flights between Bhutan and Israel

Bhutan’s national carrier, Drukair, has decided not to proceed with five proposed charter flights between Paro and Tel Aviv. The flights, which were intended for the first quarter of 2027, were planned to accommodate approximately 110 passengers per flight.

Following an internal assessment of safety, security, and quality standards, the airline determined that the operation was not advisable. The proposal had previously been reported by Israeli media as a plan organized by the travel company Caminos to market tour packages to Israeli travelers.

Drukair clarified that it was not involved in the marketing or sale of individual tickets, noting that those responsibilities belonged to the travel organizer. The airline also stated that it has no plans to introduce scheduled flights between the two nations without a formal Air Service Agreement between Bhutan and Israel.
