Druskininkai Culture and Congress Palace to open in December

The Druskininkai Culture and Congress Palace is scheduled to open on December 12, marking a new era for the Lithuanian resort town. The opening will feature an extensive program across three different halls, including a symphony orchestra and performances by prominent Lithuanian stage stars.

The new facility is designed to strengthen Druskininkai’s status as a cultural resort by providing modern spaces for music, theater, cinema, and conferences. Former mayor Ričardas Malinauskas, who worked with the municipal team to secure funding, noted that such a venue is vital for an international resort to host world-class performers.

Paulius Baltrėnas, an executive at Infrastruktūra LT—the group operating the palace—stated that the goal is to create a vibrant, open space that serves both local residents and tourists, making culture an inseparable part of the relaxation experience in the city.
