Druskininkai schools and kindergartens begin new academic year

Educational institutions in Druskininkai, including schools and kindergartens, have commenced the new academic year. More than 2,800 students, ranging from kindergarteners to high school seniors, returned to classes on September 1st.

Local officials, including Druskininkai Deputy Mayors Diana Brown and Simonas Kazakevičius, along with Education Department head Jurgita Naruckienė, congratulated the students and educators. School directors emphasized that educational institutions serve as vital spaces for personal growth, social connection, and community building beyond mere academic instruction.

In other regional news, educators in the Plungė and Rietavas areas have also returned to work following the summer break. Local reports highlight the diverse summer experiences of teachers, ranging from domestic relaxation to international travel across Europe, including trips to Austria, Italy, France, Monaco, Liechtenstein, and Germany.
