Druskininkai to open multi-purpose bus station this autumn

A new multi-purpose bus station is scheduled to open in Druskininkai this autumn. Developed by the company Kautra, the project aims to transform the traditional transit hub into a vibrant urban space combining transportation with commerce, services, and entertainment.

The facility will feature over 15 commercial spaces for cafes, shops, and service providers, alongside an amphitheater and an event space. A notable attraction will be a helium balloon rising to a height of 200 meters directly from the station interior.

Project developers and local officials expect the station to attract approximately 2,000 daily visitors, with an annual footfall estimated between 700,000 and 750,000 people, including locals, regional residents, and international tourists.
