Drvar officials consider local wells to address water supply issues
The Municipality of Drvar is exploring the construction of local wells as a potential solution to long-standing water supply problems in the villages of Vidovo Selo and Mokronog. Due to the large area and scattered nature of the settlements, building a unified water supply system is considered a complex and financially demanding project.
To assess improvement possibilities, Mayor Dušica Runić conducted a field visit to the villages alongside hydrogeology engineers from the Banja Luka-based company Ibis-inženjering. The experts inspected existing sources and several potential locations to evaluate conditions for further testing and potential drilling. The next steps will involve analyzing existing project documentation to determine if previous proposals can be adapted to meet the current needs of the population.
