Drvar residents petition for investigation into air pollution

Residents of Drvar have launched an online petition calling on the authorities of Hercegbosna Canton to investigate a persistent and concerning odor that has affected the town and its surroundings for over a month.

Citizens report experiencing intense smells, eye irritation, throat irritation, and feelings of suffocation. There are suspicions that the pollution is caused by the burning of unknown and potentially hazardous materials. The petition, which includes the signature of Drvar Mayor Dušica Runić, demands an immediate investigation to identify the source of the pollution and the responsible parties.

Signatories are also requesting inspection oversight of suspected locations, air quality measurements with public disclosure of the results, and the implementation of legal measures to protect public health and the environment.
