Dry season brings health risks and water scarcity

The prolonged dry season is causing significant impacts on human life, including water scarcity, agricultural crises, and increased health risks. Medical concerns include Acute Respiratory Infections (ISPA) caused by rising temperatures, air pollution, and dust. Other risks include diarrhea due to water shortages and hygiene challenges, as well as Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DBD) as heat increases insect activity.

In response to the drought, Islamic traditions offer spiritual guidance through prayers for rain (Istisqa). These prayers, practiced by the Prophet Muhammad, serve as a means for believers to seek relief and blessings during periods of severe dryness.
