Drylab AI raises $3 million in seed funding for scientific research agents
Drylab AI, a startup co-founded by Phan Nhật Huy, a former student of VinUni, has successfully raised $3 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India, with participation from PatSnap.
Launched in February, Drylab AI develops autonomous AI agents designed to conduct scientific research. These agents can understand objectives, formulate strategies, and select from over 800 integrated scientific tools and databases to perform experiments without constant human supervision. The technology is capable of interpreting results and managing errors independently.
The platform is designed to be deployed on the infrastructure of pharmaceutical companies and research organizations, allowing these entities to utilize autonomous AI agents while maintaining data security and protecting their scientific findings. Drylab AI already serves paying customers, including pharmaceutical companies, cancer centers, biomedical research institutes, and universities across the US, Europe, and Asia.
