DSB compensation payouts double to 60 million kroner in first half of 2026

The Danish State Railways (DSB) paid 60.4 million kroner in travel‑time guarantee compensation to customers affected by train delays during the first six months of 2026. This amount is more than twice the 27 million kroner paid for the same period in the previous year, indicating a sharp rise in delay‑related payouts. The figures were supplied by DSB to the news agency Ritzau.

The increase reflects higher numbers of delayed services and the associated financial burden on the state‑owned railway operator.
