DSB shift planning system continues to malfunction

DSB, the Danish state railway, is reporting continued technical difficulties with its shift planning system, IVU.rail. Despite the implementation of 23 corrections and new functions since the system was launched in October last year, the software is still not performing adequately.

In a memo sent to the Minister of Transport, DSB stated that the system ‘does not yet function fully satisfactorily.’ The ongoing issues have forced employees to resort to using pen and paper to manage scheduling tasks.
