DSI investigates leak of Senate election fraud files

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has filed a complaint with the Crime Suppression Division regarding the unauthorized leak of investigation files related to alleged Senate election fraud and money laundering. DSI officials stated that the leaked documents are authentic parts of an ongoing special investigation, and their public disclosure could significantly damage the legal proceedings.

DSI Director-General Yuthana Praedam has established a fact-finding committee to determine how the confidential documents were leaked and whether any internal officials were involved in facilitating the disclosure. The agency is pursuing legal action under the Criminal Code for the disclosure of official secrets.

While addressing concerns that the legal action might be an attempt to silence critics, DSI spokespersons emphasized that the investigation is a standard procedural duty to protect the integrity of the case. The leak follows the public release of information by the organization iLaw.
