DSI investigates online gambling links to Thai political figures

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) is conducting inquiries into online gambling activities involving the platform Shuffle.com and potential links to Thai political figures.

MP Ideer Suchada Sangtanthap and her husband, Taiyang Sang, met with DSI officials to address allegations regarding a 1.47% shareholding linked to online gambling. Suchada denied any wrongdoing, characterizing the allegations as a political attempt to misinterpret old documents. Taiyang expressed his willingness to cooperate with the investigation but did not disclose his specific profession.

Separately, former MP Sirichoke Sopha reported receiving an urgent, confidential summons from the DSI. Sopha, who has been investigating Shuffle.com, stated he intends to provide evidence concerning the platform's corporate structure, financial transactions, and connections to political circles. The DSI is investigating potential violations of computer and criminal laws related to the gambling site.
