dsm-firmenich to split Animal Nutrition & Health into Noviwest and Panavora
dsm-firmenich has announced that its Animal Nutrition & Health division will be split into two independent companies, Noviwest and Panavora, following its sale to CVC Capital Partners. The transaction, valued at an enterprise value of 2.2 billion euros with a potential additional payment of up to 500 million euros, is expected to close in late 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
Noviwest will focus on vitamins, carotenoids, and aroma ingredients for the food, animal nutrition, fragrance, and pharmaceutical industries. Silvia Sonneveld, currently Head of the Vitamins Unit, has been designated as CEO of Noviwest.
Panavora will concentrate on animal nutrition and health, providing premixes, feed additives, and livestock services. Ivo Lansbergen, the current head of the division, will lead Panavora.
dsm-firmenich will retain a 20 percent stake in both new entities. The divestment allows dsm-firmenich to concentrate more heavily on its core activities in fragrance, taste, nutrition, and health.
