Dsquared2 unveils Spring/Summer 2027 collection
Dsquared2 has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, a theme described as a blend of religious iconography, rap culture, and 1980s pop influences. Designers Dean and Dan Caten drew inspiration from Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Romeo + Juliet’ and Sicilian tropes to explore themes of masculinity and vulnerability.
The collection features unconventional tailoring, such as double-breasted suits with relaxed proportions and garments that turn linings and waistbands outward. Embellishments include crosses, rosaries, and medallions, often paired with distressed denim and mesh inserts. The imagery for the collection features Italian rapper Promessa, who embodies the collection’s rebellious aesthetic.
Key stylistic elements include low-slung trousers, exposed lingerie through asymmetrical cuts or lace inserts, and a mix of sacred and pop imagery, such as tropical floral prints in acid lime and hot pink alongside cherubs and sacred hearts.
