DSS Director-General Ajayi honored by Polytechnic Students Association

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has presented the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi, with its National Merit Award. Titled ‘Icon of Peace, Safety and Progress in Nigeria,’ the award recognizes his contributions to national security, intelligence gathering, and the protection of polytechnics and other institutions across the country.

In a statement released by Immediate Past President Eshiofune Paul Oghayan, NAPS commended the DSS for its proactive intelligence assessment and inter-agency coordination, which helped create a secure environment for students and communities. The association noted that security support from relevant agencies was instrumental in the peaceful conduct of its national convention and other student activities.

The award was presented at the DSS headquarters in Abuja. NAPS also expressed support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, specifically highlighting interventions in the education sector such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
