Düsseldorf Airport hosts aviation event and reports summer growth

Düsseldorf Airport recently hosted a ‘Sunrise Special’ event on August 22, where 500 aviation enthusiasts gathered early in the morning to observe the first flights of the day from the airport terrace. The event was part of a limited distribution of 6,500 tickets intended to showcase regional aviation interest.

Regarding operational updates, reports from August 24 indicate specific flight disruptions, including a scheduled flight to Erbil. The airport also reviewed its 2025 summer season performance, noting that 3.4 million passengers traveled during the period—an 8% increase compared to the previous year. Despite the high volume of approximately 24,000 flight movements, 96% of passengers reportedly passed through security in under ten minutes.
