Düsseldorf and Cologne prepare for 2026 music festival and Carnival

The New Fall Festival is scheduled to return to Düsseldorf from October 7 to 11, 2026. The music festival features performances at unconventional venues, including the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, where the duo BOY is set to perform on October 10. Other scheduled artists include Apparat, Babyshambles, The Cinematic Orchestra, and José González.

Additionally, the 2026/2027 Carnival season in North Rhine-Westphalia will officially begin on November 11, 2026. In Cologne, celebrations are planned at the Heumarkt starting at 11:11 AM. To manage the festivities, the city of Cologne will implement glass ban zones in the Altstadt and Severinsviertel districts.
