DSW to acquire Salland Zorgverzekeringen

DSW has announced plans to acquire Salland Zorgverzekeringen, effective January 1, 2028. The transaction involves the transfer of shares from Salland Holding to Onderlinge Waarborgmaatschappij DSW.

Following the acquisition, DSW intends to maintain the Salland Zorgverzekeringen and HollandZorg brands, as well as the Salland Zorgkantoor and its existing location in Deventer. The companies stated that a significant portion of the staff at the Deventer location will remain employed.

The move aims to address increasing ICT investment requirements and rising regulatory pressures within the healthcare sector. By combining resources, the organizations seek to strengthen their regional presence and ensure the continued accessibility and affordability of care.

The takeover is subject to approval from relevant regulators, the Members' Councils of both organizations, and advice from the Works Councils. Completion of the necessary approvals is expected by the second quarter of 2027, followed by an integration period.
