DSZO honors long-term employee Pavel Horák's 47-year career

Pavel Horák, an 80-year-old former employee of the Zlín-Otrokovice Transport Company (DSZO), is celebrated for his 47-year career in the company's workshops. Having joined in 1961 and worked until 2008, Horák has witnessed significant technological shifts in the maintenance of buses and trolleybuses. He notes that while modern workers receive manufacturer support, his era required staff to manufacture and repair almost everything manually.

Horák continues to maintain ties with the company by attending annual gatherings for long-term former employees. DSZO tracks over 150 such individuals, with approximately 80 attending these meetings regularly. The company emphasizes that the transfer of expertise between generations, such as Horák mentoring current electromechanic Václav Číž, is a key strength that preserves professional standards and strengthens workplace relationships.
