DTCP Defense Fund secures 455 million euros at first closing

Investment manager DTCP has reached its first closing for a new Defense Fund, securing 455 million euros in capital commitments. The fund aims to invest in companies from the Series B phase onward that develop technologies critical to European defense, security, and resilience.

The fund’s strategy is European-led and aligned with NATO objectives, focusing on sectors such as artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, cyber defense, secure communications, and space technologies. While primarily concentrated in Europe, the fund may also invest in companies from other NATO member states or close allies if their technologies enhance European defense capabilities, interoperability, or strategic supply chains.

Key investors include anchor investor Porsche Automobil Holding SE, Deutsche Telekom, the Danish export and investment company EIFO, pension provider Danica, and SmartCap. For EIFO, this represents its largest investment in the defense sector to date. DTCP has already finalized its first two investments in Six Robotics and Kraken Technology Group.
