Du Kai-cham and Ng Wing-lam secure WTT Sweden Grand Smash doubles silver

Hong Kong table tennis players Du Kai-cham and Ng Wing-lam secured their first Grand Smash doubles runner-up title at the WTT Sweden Grand Smash. Despite having partnered for only eight months, the duo reached the final after defeating high-ranking opponents, including the world number one pair Wang Manyu and Kuai Man in the quarterfinals.

In the final, the pair faced the second-ranked Japanese duo of Miwa Harimoto and Hina Hayata. The match concluded with a 1:3 scoreline (6:11, 11:9, 11:13, 9:11) in favor of the Japanese players. Hong Kong coach Li Jing noted that the pair's rapid progress and improved movement are promising signs for upcoming competitions, including the Asian Games.
