Dua Lipa's Chanel Haute Couture Wedding Gown Unveiled at Sicilian Celebration
Pop star Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner marked their marriage with a three‑day celebration at Villa Valguarnera, an 18th‑century mansion near Palermo, Sicily. After a private civil ceremony in London on May 31, the couple exchanged vows in Italy on June 6, hosting around 200–300 guests including fashion and music celebrities.
Lipa wore a custom Chanel Haute Couture wedding dress designed by artistic director Matthieu Blazy. The gown was hand‑crafted in Chanel’s Paris ateliers at 31 Rue Cambon, requiring 1,155 hours of needlework. It features a halter neck, plunging back, a two‑meter train, and a six‑meter veil, all embellished with approximately 480,000 hand‑stitched pearls and 25,000 feathers. White satin pumps were made to order by Massaro. Turner complemented the bride in a bespoke black Louis Vuitton suit.
The lavish event, estimated at $1.7 million, attracted stars such as Donatella Versace, Elton John, Charli XCX and Kevin Parker. Local residents staged protests, objecting to the high‑profile celebration in the historic city centre.
