Dua Lipa's haute‑couture wedding dress unveiled at Sicily celebration
British singer Dua Lipa married actor Calum Tennant in a private ceremony on 31 May in London, followed by a three‑day celebration at Villa Valguarnera near Palermo, Sicily. For the event the bride wore a custom Chanel gown designed by Matthieu Blazy, featuring an ultra‑fitted silhouette, a two‑metre feather‑trimmed train, hand‑stitched crystal work, 25 000 feathers and a six‑metre veil embroidered by Lesage. The groom complemented the look with a black Louis Vuitton tuxedo.
The Sicilian festivities attracted hundreds of guests from music, film and fashion, including Donatella Versace, Joe Alwyn, Olivia Dion, Charli XCX, Mark Ronson, Grace Kager and Kevin Parke of Tame Impala. Media outlets highlighted the dress as a standout example of contemporary haute couture, noting the extensive hand‑embroidery—approximately 1 155 hours—done by Atelier Montex and the intricate trompe‑l’oeil jewellery by Lemarié.
