Dušan Alimpijević discusses Beşiktaş roster and regional basketball

Dušan Alimpijević, the coach of Beşiktaş, discussed the challenges of the upcoming EuroLeague season during a friendly tournament in Belgrade. He noted that Beşiktaş is currently working with a reduced roster due to the absence of key players such as Metehan Birsena, Scotie Wilbekin, Omori, and Furkan Korkmaz. Alimpijević emphasized that the EuroLeague is a demanding competition that requires significant depth, especially when paired with the highly physical Turkish League.

Alimpijević also commented on the landscape of regional basketball, praising the strategic direction of Crvena zvezda under sports director Miloš Teodosić. He highlighted the club's high ambitions and well-planned roster improvements. Regarding Partizan, he noted that while the club faced difficulties due to player departures, he is satisfied that the team now includes at least two national team players in significant roles.
