Dušan Jamrich celebrates 80th birthday

Slovak actor, educator, and narrator Dušan Jamrich is celebrating his 80th birthday on October 25. A prominent figure in Slovak theater, film, and television, Jamrich has been an integral part of the Slovak National Theatre (SND) for decades.

To mark the occasion, Slovak Television (STV) will broadcast the documentary ‘Dušan Jamrich – Ticho medzi slovami’, directed by Jana Bučka Kovalčíková and Michal Fulier. Jamrich will also appear in a jubilee performance of ‘Duchovia sú tiež len ľudia’ at the SND on October 27.

Jamrich is recognized for his versatile performances in both classical and modern works, including roles in Shakespearean plays and the television series ‘Štúrovci’. He graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava in 1970 and has built a career characterized by psychological depth and a distinctive stage presence.
