Dušan Vesić, prominent rock journalist and biographer, passes away

Dušan Vesić, a prominent rock journalist, publicist, and chronicler of Yugoslav and Serbian rock culture, has passed away at the age of 67 following a long and difficult illness.

Between 1980 and 1990, Vesić was a key figure in rock journalism, writing for numerous relevant newspapers and magazines. He served as an editor for the domestic scene in publications such as ‘Rock’ and ‘Pop Rock’. His television work included the cult documentary series ‘Rockovnik’, which consisted of 40 episodes.

Vesić was also a noted author, having written several significant books, including ‘Bunt dece socijalizma’, a biography of the band Bijelo dugme titled ‘Šta bi dao da si na mom mjestu’, and ‘Magi – Kao da je bilo nekad’, which chronicled Margita Stefanović. He also worked in video production and as an executive producer for various pop and rock albums.
