Duane Davis on trial for allegedly masterminding Tupac Shakur murder

Duane “Keffe D” Davis is currently on trial in Las Vegas for allegedly masterminding the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur. Prosecutors contend that Davis orchestrated an ambush from a white Cadillac in retaliation for an assault on his nephew, Orlando Anderson.

Key evidence presented in court includes a 2019 memoir co-written by Davis and audio from a 2008 police interview. In the recordings, Davis reportedly identified Anderson as the gunman who opened fire on Shakur and Death Row Records co-founder Marion “Suge” Knight.

During proceedings, Davis has accused law enforcement of targeting him and his family, alleging intimidation and the unauthorized disclosure of family addresses. He has maintained his innocence, pleading not guilty and claiming he was not in Las Vegas at the time of the shooting.
