Duane Davis to face trial for Tupac Shakur murder
The murder trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis, the only person charged in the 1996 killing of hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur, is scheduled to begin on August 10 in Las Vegas. Davis, 63, faces one count of murder with a deadly weapon intended to promote or assist a criminal gang. He has pleaded not guilty.

The trial is expected to last approximately one month and will feature testimony from notable figures, including Death Row Records co-founder Marion “Suge” Knight. A judge recently indicated that Davis could potentially be released on bail prior to the trial, noting that his release would not impact the evidence or the proceedings.
