Duarte Governor participates in regional sustainability summit

Ana Xiomara Cortés, the governor of Duarte Province, participated in the first meeting of the Observatory of Sustainability and Regional Development (OSDER). The event was held at the Universidad Católica Nordestana (UCNE) theater in San Francisco de Macorís.

The gathering brought together authorities, academics, business leaders, and various sector representatives to analyze the challenges and opportunities for promoting sustainable development within the country's regions. Key participants included the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, the Attorney General of the Republic, and the Senator of Duarte Province.

The meeting emphasized the importance of creating dialogue spaces to address social and regional challenges using data and specific proposals. Education was highlighted as a fundamental pillar for societal transformation and regional development.
