Dubai Basketball signs Dutch forward Yannick Kraag on loan to Joventut

Dubai Basketball is expanding its future‑focused roster by signing 23‑year‑old Dutch wing Yannick Kraag to a four‑year contract. The club will loan Kraag for the 2026/27 season to Joventut Badalona, where he can continue his development in Spain’s top league. Kraag, a product of Joventut’s youth system, debuted in the ACB in 2020/21 and has logged 142 league games, averaging 7.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in the EuroLeague.

The signing is part of Dubai’s broader strategy of acquiring young talent and loaning them to lower‑tier clubs to retain control while they improve. Other recent moves include the loan of Kevin Kokila to Virtus Bologna, Dane Erikstrup to an unspecified team, and Lithuanian shooter Simonas Lukosius to Unicaja. Dubai paid a reduced buy‑out clause for Kraag and secured similar arrangements for the other players, aiming to build a pipeline of prospects for its upcoming EuroLeague campaign.
