Dubai buyers purchase bulk iPhone 18 Pro handsets at launch

On the launch day of the iPhone 18 Pro in the UAE, bulk buyers in Dubai demonstrated high demand, with one group spending over Dh550,000 to purchase 76 handsets at the Dubai Mall Apple Store. Some purchasers, including an expatriate who bought 27 units, intend to resell the devices at a premium of up to Dh3,000 per handset.

In local markets such as Deira, consumers are paying premiums of up to Dh300 specifically for the new burgundy colorway to avoid long delivery wait times from official online channels. While standard colors like black, silver, and glacier are selling closer to the official Apple UAE retail prices, the burgundy model has seen significant interest due to its status as a new flagship color.

The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models feature the A20 Pro chip and are sold as eSIM-only devices in the UAE market. Official delivery windows for certain high-demand models through Apple’s online store have been reported to extend into late October and early November, driving customers toward local physical retailers.
