Dubai expands winter tourism through luxury hospitality and desert camping

Dubai is enhancing its winter tourism offerings through both luxury hospitality and expanded outdoor recreational opportunities. Taj Hotels in Dubai is promoting seasonal experiences across its properties, including Taj Dubai in Downtown Dubai and Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers. The Taj Dubai property features an extensive collection of over 3,000 artworks and sculptures, alongside diverse dining options such as Bombay Brasserie and Miss Tess.

Simultaneously, Dubai Municipality has announced an expansion of the winter camping season at Al Ruwayyah for 2026–2027. The capacity for camping plots will increase by approximately 120%, allowing for up to 600 camps. The new season, running from November 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027, will include double-sized plots, 50 dedicated caravan plots, and 10 fully equipped camps available for daily rental. The municipality has also designated spaces for winter events, markets, and small business investment opportunities to develop Al Ruwayyah into an integrated community hub.
