Dubai Financial Market launches digital onboarding for mobile investors

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has transitioned to a fully digital onboarding process, allowing investors to open trading accounts and obtain a DFM investor number (NIN) via mobile devices. In partnership with EFG Hermes UAE LLC, the service is integrated into the EFG Hermes ONE trading and investment app, removing the requirement for physical branch visits or paper-based registration.

This digital shift follows a period of significant growth for the exchange. During the first half of 2026, the DFM added 42,864 new investors, with foreign nationals representing 71.4 per cent of that figure. Total traded value for the six-month period reached Dh119.5 billion, a 40.4 per cent increase year-on-year.

As of the end of June, the DFM's total market capitalization stood at Dh981.6 billion. Khalifa Rabba, Chief Operating Officer of the Dubai Financial Market, stated that the initiative aims to shorten the time between an investor's decision to enter the market and their ability to begin trading.
