Dubai Financial Market sees growth in investor accounts

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw the addition of approximately 64,416 new investor accounts during the first nine months of the year. This growth is attributed to diverse investment options, investor confidence in the UAE economy, and the strong financial performance of listed companies.

In terms of account openings, BHM Capital Financial Services led with 20,752 new accounts, followed by Emirates NBD Securities with 12,637. During this period, brokerage firms executed over 6.33 million transactions involving 95.62 billion shares, with a total value exceeding Dh324.99 billion. EFG Hermes UAE recorded the highest trading value at Dh77.22 billion.

In a related development for the regional market, FP Trading has established a new office in Dubai after receiving a Category 5 license from the Capital Market Authority (CMA). This license allows the firm to conduct marketing, promotional, and introduction-related activities within the UAE under regulatory oversight, serving as a central hub for its operations in the Middle East and North Africa.
