Dubai Humanitarian launches aid air bridge for Gaza
Dubai Humanitarian has initiated a new air bridge to deliver essential relief supplies and thermal winter blankets to Gaza. Operating under the directives of UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the mission utilizes Dubai Royal Air Wing C-130 aircraft to transport approximately nine metric tonnes of aid per flight.
The first shipment, intended for UNICEF, has arrived in Al Arish, Egypt. At least three additional flights are scheduled to provide supplies, including blankets for children and vulnerable groups, to assist families ahead of the winter season.
Separately, during the AidEx 2026 event in Geneva, Dubai Humanitarian advocated for a stronger global safety net to protect humanitarian supply chains. CEO Giuseppe Saba emphasized the need for international cooperation, diversified transport routes, and connected logistics networks to ensure the continuous movement of life-saving assistance during global crises and transport disruptions.
