Dubai International Airport Urges Early Arrival Amid Summer Rush, GCC Residents Eligible for UAE eVisa

Dubai International Airport has warned passengers that the summer travel season will bring very high passenger volumes. Travelers are advised to arrive at least three hours before departure, complete online check‑in where possible, use self‑service kiosks, bag‑drop facilities and the Dubai Metro to avoid congestion, and keep passports, visas and other documents ready.

The United Arab Emirates also offers an electronic visa (eVisa) for residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries – Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Eligible applicants must hold a valid GCC residence permit with at least one year remaining, a passport valid for six months, and an approved profession. The eVisa permits a 30‑day stay, extendable once for another 30 days, and must be obtained online through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai website before travel.
