Dubai launches QR code system for holiday homes

Dubai has introduced a QR code initiative aimed at the short‑term rental market for holiday homes. The digital system is intended to increase transparency, boost investor confidence and provide a smoother experience for guests. It aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and the emirate’s broader smart‑city transformation strategy.

The move comes as Dubai’s tourism sector continues to grow, recording 4.67 million visitors in the first quarter of 2023 – a 17 % year‑on‑year rise and 98 % of pre‑pandemic levels – reinforcing its position as a leading global destination.
