Dubai Luxury Real Estate Shifts to Wellness as New Standard

The Global Wellness Institute (GWI) reports that wellness is becoming the baseline for luxury residential design in Dubai, urging developers to collaborate with planners, architects, public‑health leaders and wellness professionals. Talal M. Al Gaddah, CEO and Founder of developer Keturah, said, “The next phase for the industry is collaboration rather than competition.”

The GWI Initiative Trends report projects the global wellness‑real‑estate market will exceed $1 trillion by 2029. In the UAE, wellness‑focused construction now accounts for more than 12 % of all building activity, growing from $3.3 billion in 2017 to $14.6 billion in 2025. Over 555,000 wellness‑oriented residential units are in the pipeline across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Key projects include Keturah Reserve, a AED5.7 billion bio‑living community in Mohammed Bin Rashid City’s District 7, and the Ritz‑Carlton Residences at Keturah Resort, slated to become the region’s first wellness‑certified waterfront community.
