Dubai Mallathon offers indoor fitness across city malls
The Dubai Mallathon, a citywide community fitness initiative launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is currently providing indoor walking and running tracks across several major malls in Dubai to help residents and visitors stay active during the summer heat.
Ibn Battuta Mall is serving as an official venue, hosting daily sessions from 6 AM to 10 AM until September 15. The mall features a flagship event on August 30, which includes a structured race with three different distances, competitive timing, and prizes. Participants can navigate themed courts inspired by the explorer Ibn Battuta, with water stations and distance markers provided along the course.
Other participating locations include Deira City Centre, Dubai Festival City Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and Mirdif City Centre. The initiative is free to join and offers specialized activities for women, senior citizens, and People of Determination. A session is also scheduled at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 on August 28.
