Dubai Police unveils Horizon X program for next‑generation policing

Dubai Police has launched Horizon X, an initiative led by its Future Foresight Centre to embed future foresight and innovation into policing. The program aims to turn emerging global trends into practical projects that boost institutional readiness, community safety and quality of life.

Brigadier Hamdan Al Ghassieh, Director of the Future Foresight Centre, said Horizon X aligns with the five pillars of the Dubai Future Readiness Index – institutional agility, change management, future foresight and design, data and technology, and future talent and innovation. Colonel Omar Khalifa Bal Obaidah, Deputy Director, described the platform as a way to generate high‑value projects that enhance resilience and long‑term preparedness.

The initiative includes workshops and a framework for police departments to identify trends, develop ideas and implement solutions that modernise policing services in Dubai.
