Dubai private schools rank in global top 10 as teacher numbers grow

Dubai’s private education sector has demonstrated significant growth and academic achievement. According to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), the number of private school teachers in Dubai has increased by 17.5% over the last three academic years. For the 2024-25 academic year, teacher employment reached 27,284, a 9% increase from the previous year, while student enrollment rose by 6% to 387,441 across 227 schools.

To support this expansion, the Dubai Educators Council is being launched. This 15-member body will provide teachers with a formal platform to influence education policy and programs as part of the Education 33 (E33) Strategy.

In terms of academic performance, Dubai’s private schools ranked among the top 10 education systems globally in the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2025. This achievement aligns with the emirate's goals to establish itself as a global destination for education and enhances its international standing in learning outcomes.
