Dubai ranks eighth globally in billionaire population

According to Altrata’s Billionaire Census 2026, the United Arab Emirates was home to 52 billionaires in 2025, with a combined wealth of $201 billion. This places the nation among the world’s top 15 billionaire markets. While the number of billionaires in the UAE declined by 1.9 percent year-on-year, Dubai emerged as a significant global hub, tying with Shenzhen for eighth place among cities with the most billionaire residents. Dubai hosted 43 billionaires in 2025, an increase of two from the previous year.

In the broader Middle East, the billionaire population grew by 5 percent to reach 254 individuals, driven by economic diversification and sovereign infrastructure spending. However, total regional billionaire wealth decreased by 4 percent to $700 billion, impacted by softer energy prices and regional stock market performance. Saudi Arabia remains a major player in the region, hosting 59 billionaires with a combined fortune of $175 billion.
