Dubai targets 3,000 Emirati Teachers in Private Schools by 2033

Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) announced a long‑term plan to raise the number of Emirati teachers in the private education sector to 3,000 by 2033. The initiative, presented at the Emirati Educator Forum and approved by the Executive Council of Dubai, aims to attract and empower national talent, strengthen national identity in schools, and improve overall education quality. KHDA Director of Educator Empowerment Amina Alkawari highlighted the strategy as an investment in the future of the emirate's education ecosystem.

Separately, a detailed calendar of school holidays for Dubai private schools in the 2026‑27 academic year has been published, covering start dates, half‑term breaks, winter holidays, Ramadan adjustments, spring break, and the end‑of‑year schedule. Parents and students are advised to verify dates with individual schools before planning travel or activities.
