Dubai taxi driver returns lost wallet containing irreplaceable photo of late father

Vartika Sharma, an Indian expatriate living in Dubai, recovered her lost wallet after leaving it in a Careem taxi. While the wallet contained cash, cards, and her passport, its most significant item was a passport-sized photograph of her late father, who passed away in December.

Careem driver Ebenezer Afibi found the wallet and kept it safe. After approximately 10 hours, Sharma was notified by the Careem Care team that the item had been recovered. Upon receiving the wallet, Sharma confirmed that all contents, including the priceless photograph, remained intact and undisturbed. Sharma noted that the driver refused to accept a tip in exchange for returning the belongings.
