Bosnian hip‑hop group Dubioza Kolektiv saw their fifteen‑year‑old track “I Am From Bosnia – Take Me to America” remixed for the 2023 FIFA World Cup and become a worldwide fan chant. The new version quickly gathered more than three million views online. British broadcasters at the BBC interviewed band members Vedran Mujagić and Brane Jakubović, who explained that the original lyrics describe a migrant’s disappointment with the American dream and a decision to return home. The song’s sudden popularity was highlighted on BBC Radio 2’s morning show, which praised Bosnia’s energetic entry onto the tournament stage.
