Dublin apartments: 40 affordable units to open for applications

Applications will open this week for 40 affordable one-bedroom apartments in Stillorgan, south Dublin. Developed by the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (DLRCC) at St Laurence’s Park, the project is being delivered through the Affordable Purchase Scheme to assist first-time and eligible buyers who cannot afford market rates.

Pricing for the development starts at €255,000 for 21 apartments without parking spaces. For the remaining 19 units, which include 11 apartments with parking and eight larger units, prices start from €270,000. To qualify, applicants must provide a minimum deposit of 10% and intend to use the property as their primary residence. Under the scheme, the council provides an equity contribution of 10% to 40%, retaining an equivalent share that owners can buy back over time.

The development will also feature a new two-storey library and community spaces. The application portal is scheduled to open on Wednesday, August 12, at 12:00 pm and will close on Wednesday, September 2, at 5:00 pm.
