Dublin Guardians secure first ETPL win over Belfast Wolves

The Dublin Guardians secured their first victory in the European T20 Premier League (ETPL) by defeating the Belfast Wolves by eight wickets at Malahide. The win marks a breakthrough for the Guardians, who had previously gone through the opening leg of the inaugural season without a victory.

Local seamer Craig Young led the performance with a five-wicket haul, taking 5 for 21. His contribution included taking three wickets in the 10th over, dismissing Paul Stirling, David Miller, and Glenn Maxwell, which restricted the Belfast Wolves to a total of 107. Following the bowling performance, the Guardians successfully chased the target to claim their first win on Irish soil.

In upcoming ETPL action, the Belfast Wolves are scheduled to face the Rotterdam Dockers at The Village in Dublin. Both teams currently hold nine points and sit in second and third place in the standings, respectively.
