Dubočica Handball Club and Montenegrin Volleyball Teams Set for European Cup Campaigns
Serbian handball side RK Dubočica will compete in the EHF European Cup this autumn, the third‑tier European club competition. The tournament provides no prize money; clubs receive guaranteed payments of €5,000 per round for men (or €2,000 for women) from the third round onward. Estimated expenses for Dubočica’s first two‑leg tie against Austria’s Alpla HC Hard range from €10,000 to €15,000, covering travel, accommodation, meals and match‑day costs, while the host club bears some organisational fees.
Montenegrin volleyball clubs have also learned their opponents for the upcoming CEV competitions. Herceg Novi will face Bulgaria’s Marica from Plovdiv in the Champions League qualifiers, hosting the first leg on 20‑22 October with the return match a week later in Bulgaria. Budva’s men’s team will meet Lokomotiva Avia in the CEV Challenge Cup, playing at home 10‑12 November before travelling to Plovdiv for the second leg. Both clubs aim to progress to later stages and secure further European match‑ups.
