Dubrovnik Airport implements advanced security screening technology
Ruđer Bošković Airport in Dubrovnik has begun implementing advanced security technology for passenger and hand luggage screening. The airport is currently the only facility in Croatia utilizing this specific technology.
The upgrade includes six hand luggage screening devices and six passenger security scanners. While the first device is already operational, the remaining five are scheduled for installation by the beginning of December.
The new C3 EDS CB devices provide three-dimensional imaging of luggage contents, allowing for more detailed inspections and more efficient identification of prohibited items. This technology enables passengers to pass through security without removing liquids, laptops, tablets, or mobile phones from their carry-on bags.
Airport Director Viktor Šober stated that the modernization aims to enhance aviation security while improving the overall passenger experience by making the process faster, more efficient, and reducing physical contact.
